Top Mortgages was founded by Rhys Dillon and Michael Watts. The vision of both Rhys and Michael is to create a company that is based on delivering the highest levels of dedication and service to all of their clientele.
We are required by law to ensure that the finance we arrange for you is appropriate. This means that we will make reasonable enquiries in relation to your needs, objectives and financial circumstances.
Top Mortgages operates with the assistance of Australian Financial Group (AFG) who acts as our aggregator. We are also a full member of the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA). All of our consultants are also accredited mortgage consultants through the MFAA.

Prior to entering the finance industry Rhys had extensive experience in marketing and management within the retail sector, then moved into the finance arena working in both marketing and management roles, providing finance for large scale farming operations, commercial and the residential lending sectors. Rhys holds the experience and relevant qualifications in Mortgage lending as well as holding an individual Finance Brokers License. He is a member of the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) as well as a member of the Credit Ombudsman Services Ltd.

Michael has spent the majority of his career in the finance industry. Prior to becoming a director of Top Mortgages Michael had gained experience in providing finance for large scale farming operations, commercial and the residential lending sectors, in both a marketing and management role. Today as one of the founders of Top Mortgages, Mike acts as a Principal / Director. Mike holds the experience and relevant qualifications in Mortgage lending as well as holding an individual Finance Brokers License. He is a member of the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) as well as a member of the Credit Ombudsman Services Ltd.

Penny FlackOperations Manager Prior to commencing with Top Mortgages, Penny had gained a wealth of experience working in differing roles in the finance and Banking Industry in Perth. Previously specializing in Agricultural and commercial lending and in all facets of the Residential area, Penny brings a huge base of knowledge and experience to the organisation.

Jim WattsConsultant Having worked in the finance industry all of his life, and holding senior and executive positions with some of Australia’s largest financiers as well as Government organisations, to owning and operating his own Finance Brokering Company. Jim has an enviable knowledge and experience, covering all areas of financing in Australia. Jim holds the experience and relevant qualifications in all forms of lending, as well as holding an individual brokers license. He is a member of the FBAA and is a member of the Credit Ombudsman Service Ltd.

David WattsConsultant David has in excess of 20 years experience, in both the finance and Insurance Industry covering marketing, and analysis. Previously operating with WA’s largest rural finance Broker. David's knowledge and experience adds real value to the whole operation of Top mortgages.
